Container Companies (on ground loading) 12 to 16 Feet long

 PODS
We have used PODS since 2001 and highly recomemd them.

672 Cubic Feet Each for 12 footers.
784 Cubic Feet Each for 14 footers.

3.
More size choices for local moving & storage.
4. Store your container at their warehouse or at your house or business for a competitive monthly rate.
5. PODS was the first in the business and has great communications & costumer service.
DRAWBACKS: Can't think of any.

 SAM
We have tried but have never been able to use this company.
896 Cubic Feet - 8 feet wide by 7 feet tall by 16 feet deep with roll-up door.

BENEFITS:
1. They claim that their gray color won't offend the neighbors.
DRAWBACKS: 1.  The owner is the parent company to Mayflower & United Van Lines, just an old dog trying to compete with new tricks.
2. Costumer service? They still treat the costumer like they don't know anything.
3. On delivery & pick-up the container is saverly tipped and rolled off the back of a flat bed.

Crate Companies Like military shipping crates, plywood with vinyl covers.

DOOR TO DOOR
We have used Door to Door since 2001, and recomend them in a situation where you cannot fit a POD by your house or only have a small shipment.

BENEFITS: 1.  Oldest & most organized small crate company in industry.
2. Smaller crate  to fit in challenged smaller driveways.
3. Great for smaller shipments but can still fit a queen bed and sofa in them.
DRAWBACKS: 1.  Limited delivery areas.

SMART MOVE
This is a new company and we have not used them yet.

262 Cubic Feet - 7 feet wide by 6 feet tall by 7 feet deep with swing door.
I wondered when UPS was going to get into this business.  I have not used this company yet, as they are the new kids on the block.

BENEFITS: 1.  UPS is a world class company that is the "King of Tracking" and it is UPS Freight that is hauling these crates.  2. A little more room than the wooded crates.

DRAWBACKS: 1.  Not sure a sofa will fit in the 7' space.
2. Not available in every major city.

U-PACK RELO CUBES by ABF Freight Co.
If you are going to use ABF use these cubes, much safer than their trailers.

336 Cubic Feet - 7 feet Wide by 8 feet tall  BY 6 feet Deep & two swing doors.

BENEFITS:
1. 96 extra cubic feet if you need that little extra room.
2. Higher ceiling.

DRAWBACKS: 1. Getting a quote, the size is different from all other companies.
2. ABF has limited storage and access to your shipment is prohibited while in storage at the ABF Service Center.
